Our Club History
The Maryborough Swimming Club (MSC) has been part of the local community since 1864, when the first mention of swimming baths appeared, though they were more likely used for bathing than training! By 1912, MSC had grown to 150 adult and 50 junior members.
In 1940, the Olympic-sized outdoor pool opened, thanks in part to MSC’s advocacy. The club played a key role in upgrading the facility to competition standards and they also hosted Victorian Country Championships in the 1940s and ‘50s.
Current Day
The Club operates as a member of the Central Victoria Swimming Incorporated District 15.
